Tato diplomová práce si klade za cíl vysvětlit vznik a vývoj našich představ o původních obyvatelích amerických kontinentů. Je to pokus o souhrn ideologií, mýtů a mylných představ předávaných po staletí. Z těchto stereotypů se v mysli Evropanů vytvořil zkreslený obraz původních obyvatel amerických kontinentů. This diploma thesis aims to explain why we think of the Native Americans the way we do. It is an attempt to summarize centuries of stereotyping, imageries and exploitation of Native Americans, which created the image we can perceive as Native American.
