Assessment methods
Form of instruction: lectures, seminars.
Requirements for completion of the course:
a) processing, submission (in written and electronic form) and PowerPoint presentation of a seminar project of a given topic marked with PASSED. The marking of a seminar project is passed or failed. Students with a seminar project marked with FAILED will not be admitted to the exam. The mark PASSED may make up up to 5% (1 point) of the final mark (will be judged individually by a tutor);
b) passing of the first and second seminar tests. Marking scale for these tests is not strictly defined, as they form a part of the final exam. (The final exam has a defined marking scale). Seminar tests include 10 questions at most and can be awarded up to 10 points. Seminar check tests will be taken in the 7th and 13th week of the semester. If a student cannot attend the respective seminars (apology will be judged by a tutor), he/she may take a test in one of the following seminars (in the case of the first test), or in the first two weeks of the exam period (in the case of the second test). The marking scale for seminar check tests is different; first test will be marked with passed or failed (pass mark 60%, passing necessary to be admitted to the exam), the second check test is part of the exam and its marking will be the same as in the case of the testing the knowledge of lectures and literature;
c) attendance at 10 seminars at least.

The final exam and final marking:
The exam is written. It will test the subject matter of lectures and literature. Pass mark here is not strictly defined.
The final mark is made up of: check test 2 result (maximum 10 points) and lectures and literature test result (maximum 10 points), possibly assessment of a seminar project(a bonus of up to 1 point).

Marking scale:
A: 90 - 100% (18 - 20, 21 points),
B: 85 - 89% (17 - 17.9 points),
C: 75 - 84% (15 - 16.9 points),
D: 70 - 74% (14 - 14.9 points),
E: 60 - 69% (12 - 13.9 points),
F: less than 60% (less than 12 points).

Student who will score less than 12 points (after taking check test No. 2 and lectures and literature test) will resit the test with a lower score. The examination date of a resit check test No. 2 will be announced through IS MU and will take place during the exam period. Students register for the resit test through the IS. For the exam test the same rules are applied. A resit test (lectures and literature, check test No. 2) can be taken by a student only twice if the student is allowed to qualify for the 2nd resit term (based on his/her previous study results). If not, he/she can retake the test only once. Retakes are added up and it does not apply that a student may retake each test twice (or once - see previous sentence).

Warning: Any frauds or attempted frauds during the exam (such as the use of „cheat sheets“ or other illicit materials, copying, allowing copying, leaking test instructions, etc.) or activities endangering the objectivity of the exam will be classified as a nonobservance of requests for course completion and will be assessed by the teacher in IS MU with "F".
