Course objectives
Microeconomics II (KEMIK2) This intermediate level course builds on the basics of microeconomics. Main objectives can be summarized as follows:;
to deepen the knowledge of the consumer behaviour;
detailed analysis of the firm behaviour on different types of market structures;
to acquire detailed knowledge of principles of demand and supply side creation on the input markets;
to deepen the knowledge of market mechanism principles, and the possibility of market failures;
to acquire the knowledge necessary for the master's degree as well as for future doctoral economic orientation.

  • 2/Analysis of consumer's demand
  • 3/Production analysis of the firm
  • 4/Analysis of costs and revenues
  • 5/Perfect competition and its effectiveness
  • 6/Monopoly and its regulation
  • 7/Oligopoly and the equilibrium of oligopolic markets
  • 8/Firm's equilibrium in monopolistic competition
  • 9/Production factors market and its specific character. Labour market in perfect competition
  • 10/Imperfect competition labour market. Creation of labour supply
  • 11/Capital market
  • 12/General equilibrium

Teaching methods: lectures on weekend blocks
