Course objectives
Main objectives of the course include the following:
- understanding the basic categorisation of legal persons in the Czech legal order;
- delineating the major differences between different types of NGOs: an association, foundation, public benefit institution;
- being capable to complete the basic documentation for creation of an association, a foundation (endowment fund), a public benefit institution and to interpret a contract law, expecially, those types of contracts which are common for NGOs.

  • 5. Membership in an association;
  • 6.- 7. Foundation, Endowment fund - characteristics, purpose, establishment, winding up;
  • 8. Public benefit Institution - characteristics, purpose, establishment, winding up;
  • 9. Introduction to contract law

The exam has a combined form: a writen test followed by an oral discussion on a chosen topic.
