Course objectives
The main goals of the educational process involve: - the improvement of the locomotive abilities and fitness - the impact on the positive approach towards sports activities - the support of students healthy lifestyle - the course is focused of the double bike riding
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the students will: be able to apply the correct and safe driving techniques on a tandem bicycle with a pilot have learnt the basic concepts and issues related to cycling be able to ensure the saddle is set optimally
Syllabus
  • The course aims are to establish the student-pacemaker trust, to introduce the doublebike, to learn communication and signals, to go for short and later for longer and more demanding trips.

Assessment methods
Class exercises, credit course – credit requirements are attendance. Students are obliged to participate in at least 5 half-day or day rides, or several shorter rides (2-3 hours each), equalling a total of at least 18 hours of instruction.

For further information on PE courses refer to www.fsps.muni.cz. Tendem bycicles and bicycle helmets are for rent. Lessons take place in blocks in the months of March - June approximately once every 14 days, depending on the current weather conditions, or in the form of regular lessons and shorter trips. Individual agreement. The teaching of the subject p941 is provided by the Support centre for students with specific needs.
