Prerequisites
Completion of Anatomy, Physiology, Exercise Physiology, Pathophysiology of   previous Bachelor studies. Writing up the project - the creation of a prevention program on a given topic, oral exam.

Course objectives
The course provides a basic knowledge of   prevention as a tool that has   contribute to the sustainable development of mankind and life. The essence of the concept of prevention is the idea that the active influence of risk factors will be possible to reduce the incidence of lifestyle diseases. The aim is to acquire skills and professional competence in taking preventive health promotion projects.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - to argue about the irreplaceable role of non-pharmacological intervention in influencing the risk factors of civilization diseases;
- designing interventional exercise programs for individuals with risk factors of civilization diseases; - co-operate with healthcare facilities in the field of interventional exercise/training programs methodology in individuals with cardiometabolic and selected diseases in in ternal medicine (haematooncology, pulmonary diseases, movement problems in seniors ...) - to participate in research projects in this field (especially in the field of physical interventions)
Syllabus
  • Overview lecture topics: • The meaning and purpose of prevention of lifestyle diseases   clinic. • Stages of disease progression, including all levels of prevention. • Selective prevention. • Secondary prevention of lifestyle diseases   u (principle, importance). • Tertiary prevention at   civilization diseases (principle, importance). • Lifestyle and the emergence of lifestyle diseases. • Targeted assistance with   regard to the specific individual needs. • Organization of preventive programs (planning, finance). • Evaluation of prevention programs (short and long term effects of the program). • Strategies and methods of secondary and tertiary prevention. • Preventive examinations and investigations. • Organization of preventive programs (creation of crisis intervention).   The workshops will be practical training. Topics of the seminars: • Organization of preventive programs (planning, finance, establishment of a crisis intervention). • Evaluation of prevention programs (short and long term effects of the program). • Strategies and methods of secondary and tertiary prevention. • Preventive examinations and investigations.
