Course objectives
Students will assume basic swimming skills (breathing, flowing, propulsion movements) during the practical exercises and the correct technique of swimming breaststroke, backstroke and crawl according to valid rules.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
- demonstrate the knowledge of the basic swimming skills and the correct technique of swimming breaststroke, backstroke and crawl;
- apply acquired skills in the individual concept of swimming technique - swimming style in individual swimming modes;
- demonstrate swimming skills by overcoming the required distance by breaststroke, backstrole and crawl.

  • Basic swimming skills: breathing, flowing, propulsion movements.
  • Technical exercises for breaststroke swimming technique. p Improving swimming method of breaststroke.
  • Technical exercises for crawl swimming technique.
  • Improving the swimming method of crawl.
  • Technical exercises for backstroke swimming technique.
  • Improving the swimming methods of backstroke.
  • Basic turnover breaststroke, crawl and backstroke.
  • Perfection of all swimming methods with the use of swimming aids.
  • Endurance concept of swimming method of breaststroke and crawl.

Teaching methods
Practical lessons in the form of exercises.
Assessment methods
Proof of swimming skills (technique, speed and distance) in three swimming modes: 100m breastsstroke, 100m crawl, 50m backstroke. At least 10 points in the sum of these three disciplines are to be awarded according to the available tables and the active participation in the classes.
