Course objectives
The seminar introduces main topics and approaches in the discipline of social anthropology. Seminar consists of discussions and expects active involvment of students. Students are expected to read compulsory text and one of suggested readings before each class. Main ojectives of the course are as follows: - to understand basic themes and approaches in social anthropology - to learn anthropological approach to social relations - to learn skills of critical reading and text analysis
