Course objectives
The course deals with the selected phenomenons of the world politics in the era of 1914-45, which usually are not a part of the mainstream in the study of politics in the 20th century. There will be introduced events from all main geographic areas, which were selected by the lecturers of the course.

  • 1) Opening lecture 2) The end of European domination in the world politics: 1914-45 3) Great Britain – from Imperium to Commonwealth 4) United States of America and its foreign policy between the World Wars 5) Civil war in Spain in the international context 6) So-called Armenian question 1915-1923 7) The birth of Near East 1914-1918 8) Mid-term test 9) Stalin policy in the U.S.S.R. in the thirties 10) Serbia during the World War II 11) Civil war in Russia 1917-1920 12) Eastern front in the World War II
