Course objectives
At the end of the course student should be able to record and interpret basic sources of cooperative law. Student should further be able to understand and describe the basic institutes of cooperative law and apply knowledge in practice.
Syllabus
  • 1) Development of cooperative system and its legal regulation in the Czech Republic 2) Principals of cooperative system and cooperative system 3) Cooperative - concept, function, features and differences to other business forms, mainly business association 4) Establishment of cooperative 5) Cooperative constitution 6) Cooperative property, property interest of members in cooperative 7) Commencement/termination of membership 8) Cooperative bodies - competence, authority, relationships 9) Cooperative democracy 10) Termination of cooperative 11) Thrifts 12) Specifics of housing cooperative system

Teaching methods
Lectures according to given syllabus and exercising of basic institutes by solving of practical model situations.
Assessment methods
Student has to attend all seminars. Semester paper on given topic: analysis of institute of cooperative law. Students prove their knowledge in one topic in discussion. The topic is selected by lot. Classification makes the teacher according to correctness and perfection of the answers. The classification is influenced by the quality of semestral paper too.
