Course objectives
At the end of this course the student will be able to work with the sources of law that are related to the Land Register, to understand the essence and mission of the Land Register, to explain its functions, to argue its justness and to solve cases from this area. The student will be able to formulate basic legal fillings and papers those are usually prepared by Land Registry.
Syllabus
  • Origin,changes and terminination in legal estates to land. Land Registry. principiples of keeping land registry. subjkect and scope of land registry. Providing land ragistring data. Entries of estates and other legal interests into land registry. Entries of other than legal intterests into land registry. Entries of others data into the land registry. Failures correction. Land registry inspection. Renewal of land registry "operát" Desingnation and marking of land sites. Responsibility for breach of duties at the level of land registry. Land regulatins and the land registry. Judical review of the decisions held by land registry bodies. Land registry in the decisions of the Constitutional Court.

Teaching methods
Seminar, exercising of basic concepts and institutes, consequential discussion, solving of practical model situations, working with judicial decisions, legal regulations and other documents
Assessment methods
Colloquium. Combination of written and oral tasks that student was assigned by teacher and their presentation and discussion about them during the semester. If the requirements were not met, student has to fulfill and additional task in compliance with teacher’s request (seminar work). The final oral exam is in the form of discussion on a particular theoretical and practical task, account being taken of student’s activities during semester.
