Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic problems of professional ethics of lawyers, its theoretical background and practical applications.
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to: - summarize and describe the main principles of professional ethics of lawyers; - identify the problematic situations encountered by lawyers in their practice; - Apply the theoretical knowledge of the professional ethics of lawyers to a particular situation.
Syllabus
  • Lectures: 1) Introduction to professional ethics of lawyers; 2) Professional ethics of lawyers; 3) Professional ethics of judges; 4) Professional ethics of public prosecutors I; 5) Professional ethics of public prosecutors II; 6) Professional ethics of lawyers and media. Seminars: 1) What is the professional ethics of a lawyer and why to deal with it ?; 2) Professional ethics of lawyers I; 3) Professional ethics of lawyers II; 4) Professional Ethics of Judges I; 5) Professional Ethics of Judges II and professional ethics of public prosecutors; 6) Debate over colloquial work.
