Course objectives
The objective of the course is to teach the studentsmhow to recognise labour law relation and how to distinguish them from other legal relations. Furthemore, the objective of the course is to understand basicprinciples of labour law, protection of an employee and his/her employment relationship. The students shoudl be able to write an employment contarct oranther contract, apply provisions concerting compensation for damages and recognise indistrial injury.
Syllabus
  • Working hours and rest hours, leave, wagws, salaries, obstaclews to work and refund of wages, liability systems in labour law, compensation for damages caused by an emloyee, compensation for damages the employer is liable for, collective bargaining, collective agreemenst.

Teaching methods
Individual preparation at home for prescribed issues, solution of practical examples (application of theoretical knowledge to practical problems), continuous verification of discussed subject-matter in the form of written tests. Lesson takes place in the form of consultations.
Assessment methods
Active participating in lectures, during the lessons students solve practical examples and discuss particular problems. The condition for credit is writing of one semester paper on the scheduled topic (approximately 5 pages).
