Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:
understand basic principles of legal services;
find information necessary for giving legal advice;
make contracts;
write briefs to the courts;
argument in front of the court ;
present evidence in front of the court(e.g. witness examination);
Syllabus
  • First meeting with a client, legal ethics.
  • Legal memorandum, communication with client and adverse party.
  • Writing briefs to the courts - theoretical and practical aspects.
  • Contracts and negotiation.
  • Evidence: witness examination, party examination, expert witness, documents.
  • Moot court.

practical exercises, group projects
Assessment methods
Students will realize written and oral seminar tasks (writing of contracts, petitions, legal opinions, etc.) Homework and teamwork is expected during the course. To obtain colloquium it is necessary to be present on all lectures.
