Course objectives
The aim of this course is to provide deeper knowledge of corporate law to students of bachelor programme, who already had been introduced to Commercial law. The lessons will be focused on solving model cases, similar to what students might later experience in practice. After completion of the course, the students should be able to solve such simple cases on their own.

  • 4) Rights and obligations of Corporate Managers, Protection of Investors and Creditors

Teaching methods
The course is being taught in form of lectures organized together into tuition blocks. The lectures also include practical aspects like interpretation of legal provisions, presentation of case studies and discussion with students on the topics on hand.
Assessment methods
Předmět je ukončen zkouškou, která má písemnou a ústní část. Students begin with a written part of the examination, which consists of answering of two general questions in written form. Afterwards the student papers are evaluated by the teacher. Then, students who suceeded in written part continue to the oral part of the examination, which is held on the same day. The oral examination is a discussion on a topic randomly selected by the student. Students are allowed to use text of relevant laws (without commentaries) during both written and oral examination. In case that the student is caught cheating, he automatically fails the examination.
