Philosophy for Laweyrs provides an introduction into the basic categories and problems of the critical legal thinking.

Course objectives
At the and of the course student should be able to: understand and explain the basic terms and categories of legal philosophy- natural law, positive law, justice work with information on the development of the legal thinking to better understandig of the theoretical basis of law; interpret contemporary problems of the legal philosophy

  • - What is legal philosophy? -Natural law versus positive law; -Criticism of legal positivism; - The question of legal formalism; - The system theory of law versus discoursive theory of law; - Theory of legal interpretation; - What is justice? - Law and justice, Theories of justice; - The philosophical foundation of human rights;
