  • Aim of tuition: The aim of the tuition is acquisition of the ability to read with comprehension, to translate, and to reproduce easier professional medical texts in the Russian language, to make oneself understood in Russian in both professional and routine communication situations, and to master the correct use of basic medical terminology in Russian.
  • The set of knowledge and skills required in the examination in Russian is, similar to tuition, determined exclusively by the needs of the discipline studied.
  • General characteristics of the subject: For a language finished by an examination the ability of active professional communication in both oral and written form is required; the development of the basic language skills (training of pronunciation, spelling, written communication, knowledge of the basic lexical minimum ranging between 1,200 and 1,500 lexical units, and its functional application) are presupposed.
