Course objectives
The subject is understood as theoretical. The content of the subject is a part of the complex of subjects from the area of teaching professional skills. It summarizes the most important information and recommendations for research in the field of nursing and rescue. It provides methodological guidance for the implementation of the individual stages of the research process. It deals with the practice of critical - scientific thinking. It contains instructions for using and applying EBM. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of objective evaluation of published data as a basis for creating the right design of a research study.
Learning outcomes
Student will:
Capable of practical implementation of the various stages of the research process.
Familiar with the principles of critical - critical thinking.
Be able to use and apply the method of EBM.
Knowing the basis of an objective review of published data as a basis for creating the right design research studies.
Syllabus
  • The research process and its importance for the development of medical practice, each stage of the process;
  • Methods of collecting empirical information;
  • Basic knowledge of statistical methods;
  • Qualitative research;
  • Quantitative research;
  • Publishing results;
  • Presentation of results;
  • Evidence-based practice;
  • Principles of assessment and orientation in the published data.
