Students are supposed to have considerable knowledge of biology, mostly human biology.

Course objectives
The subject means basic terms of medical microbiology, patogenesis, pathogenicity, characteristics of microorganisms, decontamination, antimicrobial drugs, basics of immunology. Clinical microbiology of individual organ systems. Nosocomial infections, basics of medical mycology and parasitology. The subject is partially diferenciated for nurses and for bith assistants.

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Účast v kontaktní výuce (alespoň 80%) je podmínkou připuštění ke zkoušce. Výuka je zakončena dílčí zkouškou, která je ústní (student si vylosuje jednu z 25 dvojotázek).
