Course objectives
The goal of the subject is an introduction into the structure of clauses and sentences biased on the relation of syntax and morphology, procedures used in syntax analysis, types of sentences, sentence parts and word order and on analysis and typology of utterance.
Syllabus
  • 1. Analysis of concepts: "phrase", "énoncé", "énonciation". 2. Procedures used in syntax analysis substitution, commutation. 3. Types and modality of a simple sentence. 4. Types of sentences from the view of sentence position juxtaposition, co-ordination, subordination, correlation. 5. Sentence parts. French word order inversion, dislocation "détachement", "mise en relief". 6. Analysis and typology of utterance, functional sentence perspective.
