Course objectives
Deepening the communicative competence of students. The basic textbook is the French method Le nouveau sans frontieres 4, which is complemented by literature mentioned below. The supposed language level after passing the course is C 1 in both productive and receptive skills according to European reference framework for languages.
Syllabus
  • Selected texts from the textbook for analysis and discussion: 1. L'homme efficace : Majorité 15 ans. Travail - les pantouflards et les aventurier (Le Nouvel Observateur). La galere des femmes cadres (Le Point). L'illetrisme et l'analphabétisme en France. 2. Citoyens du monde : L'ouverture aux cultures étrangeres (Le Point). Le rejet des autres cultures. Le sacrifice du bouc émissaire. Débat sur l'Union européenne.
