Course objectives
The course deals with issues of integrative / inclusive education. The student will acquire basic skills in the education of pupils with special educational needs, acquaint with selected teaching strategies
Learning outcomes
Student will be able to:
orientate in current legislation
adequately propose adjustments to pupil education with SEN at secondary schools
to respond effectively to the needs of pupils with SEN and to adapt the teaching methods to the needs of pupils in inclusive education.
Syllabus
  • Inclusive education (definition of integration, inclusion, pupil with special educational needs, disabled disciple (with mental, physical, visual, noisy, impaired communication, autism), health handicap, social disadvantage, gifted and extremely talented learner)
  • Support measures
  • Strategy for the education of pupils with special educational needs
  • Legislative framework for inclusive education
  • Curriculum documents, curriculum system, framework education program for basic education, conditions for pupils with special educational needs, individual educational plan
  • Cooperative teaching, team teaching, heterogeneous learning groups, team teaching
  • Pedagogical and psychological counseling services (educational counselor, school prevention methodologist, school psychologist, school special pedagogue, special pedagogical centers, pedagogical-psychological counseling centers)
  • Multicultural Education

  • Collaboration with the family
  • Ethiopia - basic introduction, starting point, position in the system of special pedagogy, terminology, definition of behavioral disorders and their classification, current trends, definition of the target group of etopedies, special pedagogical process in etopedia - goals, principles, means, prevention, intervention, rehabilitation, inclusion, segregation, topic of sticking (labeling)
  • Behavioral Disorder Associated with Hyperactivity and Attention Deficit - ADD, ADHD (definition, causal factors, prevention, diagnosis, intervention), system approach to educating pupils at risk or behavioral disorders, prevention of disciplinary problems - school, class, discipline rules, assessment, relationships , effectiveness of teaching, counseling and intervention; counseling system and system of school educational facilities (counseling services in schools, SEN, VET and OV, etc.)
