Prerequisites
Basic experience in the analytical geosciences related to physical, economic and human geography. Basic language skills - especially in English, German, other welcome. Reliable body conditions needed for extensive abroad excursion.

Cílem výuky je podat představu o Evropě jako fungujícím systému regionálních celků různé dimenze a hierarchického zařazení na bázi přírodních a jim odpovídajících hospodářských a sociálních parametrů. Studenti mají v regionální geografii Evropy projevit umění skládat dílčí komponentní informace a faktické lokalizované informace zařazovat do jejich kontextu.

  • 1. What is the regional geography, role of RG. 2. Types of territorial units - typological, individual, hierarchic levels - global, regional, chorical and topical. 3. Process of regionalising. Principle. Approaches. Directions. Methods. 4. Europe s regions: Skandinavian, British Isles, Atlantic France, Hercynian Central Europe, Alpinian-Carpathian, Iberic, Apenninian, Balcans, Eastern-European Lowland, Urals, Crimea - nature, economy and society, nations, population, environment.
