Prerequisites
In order to take part in this class, perceptive skills (listening and reading comprehension) corresponding to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference and productive skills (oral and written production) corresponding to level B1 are required. In addition we expect students to actively participate in classroom activities.

Course objectives
The course aims at systematizing, consolidating and activating the students knowledge from previous high school training. Special attention is devoted to reading and listening comprehension. Students will be given the opportunity to express their views on various topics and will be motivated to use their newly acquired knowledge of German in role-playing games. Topics for conversation will be taken from the textbook Alltagssprache Deutsch (units 4, 7, 11, 12 and 15). Besides conversation there will be offered a systematic revision of the most important grammatical structures of modern German.

  • Unit 12: Deutschlandreise (introductory informations about some regions and cities in the German Federal Republic) Unit 4: Fast Food (the most important vocabulary concerning food and dishes) Unit 7: Warten Erster Klasse (some basics about traveling with German Railways) Unit 15: Computerwelt (the most common vocabulary and structures for talking about computers and IT) Unit 11: Skiurlaub in Österreich (vocabulary in the field of skiing and winter season).

Assessment methods (in Czech)
Sprachpraktische Übung mit Schwerpunkt Hör- und Leseverstehen, Wortschatz und Konversation. Voraussetzungen für den Scheinerwerb (zápoet): - Anwesenheit im Unterricht (toleriert wird dreimaliges Fehlen). - Teilnahme an der Abschlussklausur nach Weihnachten (Termin wird noch bekannt gegeben). - Abgabe einer Verbesserung der Klausur mit Selbstevaluierung des Lernerfolgs. Bei Studierenden, die den Kurs als Wiederholung von 1JCV vom Vorjahr belegt haben, wird die Abschlussklausur von den Unterrichtenden korrigiert. Das Erreichen von mindestens 60% der Gesamtpunktzahl ist dann Voraussetzung für die Scheinvergabe. Grundlage für den grammatischen Teil der Klausur ist die em-Übungsgrammatik, Kapitel 1, 3.5, 3.7, 4, 5.4, 5.5, 6.2, 6.9, 6.10, 6.11, 6.16, 6.17, 7.3, 7.6, 7.7 und die Liste der starken Verben und der Modalverben auf den Seiten 184-192.
