Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to:- understand of notional apparatus and mastering elementar science system of pedagogy ; - create a database of basic technical terms and their mutual connections, -have basic orientation in contemporary education system abroad in context of their historical, socioeconomic, political, cultural, religious and other significant factors; - use the information acquired in the subject to expand one’s own perspective of the studied issues.
Syllabus
  • 1.Pedagogy, subject of pedagogy, origin, structure. Relation of pedagogy to other sciences. Meaning of pedagogic science - pedagogy as directive, explorative and explantive theory. 2.Pedagogic research and methodology. 3.Conception of upbringing and her conditionality. Education and educational reality. Educational processes. Upbringing, education, teaching and learning, upbringing in narrower sense. 4.Purposes of upbringing and allowance principles. 5.Upbringing functions. 6.Resources and forms of upbringing. 7.Anthropogenic factors of upbringing (treacher and educated subject) and their mutual relations in allowance of the process 8.Theory and methodology of comparative pedagogy. Education system: structure and behaviour. Pregraduated, prime and basic education. Higher secondary, tertiary and university education. Further education and distance teaching. 9.Trends, problems and perspectives of education in international context. Problem of equality of chances for education, school unsuccessfulness, family and school, problems of co-operation and the like In international comparison, foreign languages in European education.
