Course objectives
The educational practice should prove how future teachers of geography can put their theoretical knowledge into practice – teaching geography to 6th – 9th form pupils at primary schools or teaching geography to pupils in the lower forms of multi-annual grammar schools. Students should also become familiar with school managing.
Syllabus
  • - Writing a pedagogical diary. The diary should contain: 1. STUDENT NAME 2. SCHOOL NAME AND ADDRESS 3. GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SCHOOL – NUMBER OF CLASSES, STUDENTS AND TEACHERS 4. SCHOOL ORIENTATION, IF ANY (LANGUAGE SCHOOL, SPORT SCHOOL …) 5. HAS THE SCHOOL ELABORATED THEIR SCHOOL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME? 6. WHICH TEXTBOOKS AND ATLASES PUPILS ARE TAUGHT FROM? 7. WHICH DIDACTIC AIDS ARE AVAILABLE IN TEACHER’S CABINET OF GEOGRAPHY? 8. AT LEAST THREE INSPECTIONS OF CLASSES – RECORDS REQUIRED 9. PREPARATION FOR FIVE LESSONS ACCORDING TO STUDY MATERIALS 10.STUDENTS REFLECTION ON ONE LESSON – ACCORDING TO FORM 11.SELF-REFLECTION ON MY TEACHING 12.MAKING NOTES WHILE SITTING IN ON LESSONS 13.MAKING NOTES AND OBSERVING CLASSROOM TEACHING (TEACHING METHODS, FORMS OF TEACHING)
