Course objectives
This course should provide a context and theoretical background for using authentic literature in ELT. It also aims to examine and try out classroom techniques used with literature in ELT. The course is classroom-oriented, it is based on published materials and it will require the participants to be active in contributing to discussions and having hands-on experience in the sessions. The participants will be expected to reflect on the experience and share their reflections with their peers. At the end of the course, the participants should be able to:
to provide solid theoretical background for using authentic literature in EFL classes;
to develop and run a series of lessons based on literary texts appropriate for the age and level of their students;
to keep a record of a project;
to link the theory with the practice;
to reflect on and evaluate their learning and teaching practice

Course requirements:

A series of lesson plans (4 is minimum) based on one literary text - microteaching
