Course objectives
Main objectives can be summarised as follows:
to intensify of knowledge of the periodic system of elements and regularities in this system;
to learn and to practice acid/base, complex, precipitate and oxidation/reduction titrations on examples.
Syllabus
  • 1. Regularities in the periodic system of elements (in periods, in groups).
  • 2. Basic groups of elements (alkalic metals, alkalic earth metals, chalcogens, halogens, rare gasses, lanthanoids, actinoids etc.).
  • 3. Acid/base titrations (alcalimetry, acidimetry).
  • 4. Complex titrations (chelatometry).
  • 5. Precipitate titrations (argentometry).
  • 6. Oxidation/reduction titration (permanganate titration, iodometry).
