Course objectives
The course creates room for semestral homework that will been worked out in groups and presented during the course. At the end, the students will be able to: - Define the basic terms of sociology - Reading professional text and its analysis and interpretation - Explain the basics and the structure of sociology as a part of the social sciences. - Outline the topical issues of the sociology. - Map all the possibilities of the topics covered based on own reading and experience.

  • Globalization, the change of power structure
  • European family in the time of the modern and the late modern society

Assessment methods
The course is finished by: a homework worked out in groups and presented in the course. It means reading, analysis, and interpretation professional text. Outputs of homeworks: powerpoint presentation, summary analisis and the interpretation, and guided discussion.
