Course objectives
The aim of the subject is that students learn basics of educational research and its methodology, basic terminology, theories and practice, data collection methods and data analysis procedures. That they learn to interpret findings and present them.
Learning outcomes
Students will be able: - to determine research aims, research questions, hypotheses
- to suggest and to develop research instrument on the basis of problematic, which is the focus of research
- to transcribe and code, to convert them into electronic way
- to analyze data (basic descriptive statistics)
- to express results in tabelar and graphic form and interpret them
Syllabus
  • 1. Educational methodology. Educational research. Types of research. Qualitative and quantitative methodology.
  • 2. Research aims, research questions, hypotheses.
  • 3. Variables, operationalization.
  • 4. Sampling, sample size.
  • 5. Questionnaire (construction, items, administration, data analysis).
  • 6. Test (construction, questions types, data analysis).
  • 7. Observation (types, obtaining of data, transcription, analysis).
  • 8. Interview (types, construction, obtaining of data, transcription, analysis)
  • 9. Content text analysis, secondary analysis of data, drawing.
  • 10. Experiment (types, effects, analysis).
  • 11. Validity and reliability.
  • 12. Data analysis, interpretation of findings, research report.
