Course objectives
The seminar gives a basic overview of the history of French history and attempts to introduce into the wider context of a major historical event. The seminar is conducted in connection with a lecture on history. The sequence of historical events is documented by a variety of historical sources, examples of art, literature, etc. Students acquire French historical terminology.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course, students should be able: to give a history survey on the territory of to-day France from the settlement up to the Great French Revolution; to apply the acquiered knowledges and skills.
