Course objectives
At the end of the course students will be able to understand the Questions of faith, grace and justification, which were dividing element of the western church in the 16th century.
Learning outcomes
After completing this course, students will be able to: - describe the division of individual theological disciplines - identify and summarize important features of the main dogmatic tractates - identify and describe the doctrine of the first church councils - clarify the characteristics of the Church according to the Second Vatican Council.
Syllabus
  • Christology of the Chalcedon Council, its aspect of mariology and influence on the medieval soteriology. Question of faith, grace and justification, which were dividing element of the western Church in the 16th century. Doctrine of the Trident Councel and lutheran theology.
