Course objectives
After completing the course student should be able to: - interpret the stylistic theory and understand it, - to explain the most important linguistic styles, especially the functional styles, - analyze the text, - communicate linguistically and stylistically correctly.
Syllabus
  • 1. Fundamental conception and notions of the stylistic. Development of the Czech linguistic stylistics in the 20. century. 2. Theory of language stylistic differentiation as a part of the knowledge of the Czech. 3. Subjective and objective styles. 4. Functional styles, their dynamic and specific features. 5. Stylish sphere of the texts, stylish rank of the language expression and stylish type of the text adn of the expression. 6. Functional stylistics. 7. Character of the special functional styles of the language. 8. Stylistic value of linguistic and composition means.

Assessment methods
A credit test consisting of about 14 tasks and questions; the test is scored. The limit of success is 75% points.
