Prerequisites
The seminar corresponds to the conception of the bachelor study programme - Geography with a focus on education. It deals mainly with incorporating the content of the particular geographic disciplines contained in   Bc. Study (physical geography, human geogrpahy, environmental geography etc.) into the current curriculum of primary and secondary schools in Czechia.

Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide an overview of what topics/themes/concepts are discussed in primary and secondary schools in geography lessons and how geographic themes are organized in individual years of primary and secondary school.

- Describes the specifics of geography as a subject.
- Characterizes the position of geography in the curriculum of primary and lower secondary schools in Czechia.
- Analyzes and evaluates how particular geographic disciplines are implemented in the curriculum of primary and lower secondary schools in Czechia.
- Analyzes and evaluates current state and school documents related to the geographic curriculum of in the curriculum of primary and lower secondary schools in Czechia.
- Describes different conceptions of geography curriculum at particular stages of schooling in Czechia.
- Characterizes and illustrates modern trends in geography teaching.
