Course objectives
At the end of the course students will be acquainted with the issues of alternative and augmentative communication, the target group of users and the characteristics of the communication systems used in our and foreign practices, including the issue of selecting a suitable communication system. Students get an overview about the possibilities of using AAC systems and their classification systems used in our practice; ude know the principles of communication systems through AAK, facilitation techniques; Students will focus on areas that need to be evaluated when selecting a suitable communication system.
Syllabus
  • AAK define the issues, separation and classification systems. Characteristics and target group of users. • Communication passport and his song • Characteristics and recovery systems - pictograms, communication and daily chart. • Characteristics and use of the system - Sign up speech. • Characteristics and utilization systems VOKS. • Characteristics and recovery systems - social and global reading. • Technical devices and software used in the   field of alternative and augmentative communication. • The issue of selecting a suitable communication system. Facilitation techniques - communication with   user AAK.
