Course objectives
Description of the origin and development of cultural anthropology. Overview of trends and anthropological theories of culture. Understanding that how a person perceives and interprets the world around him is always a cultural construct. At the end of this course the student will be able to understand and explain the origin and development of cultural anthropology, including their sub-currents and directions.

Psychological anthropology (ethnopsychologism; school Personality and culture) 7. Functionalism 8. Structuralism 9. Neoevolutionism (cultural ecology; cultural materialism) 10.Symbolic anthropology (new ethnography; cognitive anthropology) 11. Contemporary trends and postmodern anthropology 12.
