Course objectives
The aim of the course is to gain an overview of possible intervention approaches in individuals with physical and disability.
Learning outcomes
The student is oriented in the field of therapies, facilitation techniques and special pedagogical support for individuals with physical disabilities and individuals with patients.
Syllabus
  • 1. Therapy of  people with multiple disabilities – general overview, use of  pupils with multiple disabilities. 2. Vojta method, Bobath concept. 3. Support of psychomotor development in  child with severe physical disability – positioning, aids. 4. Snoezelen – starting points, types of rooms, structure of a clock. 5. Special pedagogical diagnostics of fine motor skills and graphomotor skills in  preschool children. 6. Possibilities of development of fine motor skills, graphomotor skills and writing, connection with the educational process. 7. Diagnosis and intervention of sensorimozorical skills and in  children with central disability. 8. Psychological peculiarities in  pupils with severe (progressive) disease – Duchenne progressive muscular dystrophy. 9. Specifics of approaches for pupils with chronic diseases. 10. Compensatory aids.

Teaching methods
Active participation in seminars, discussions, practical demonstrations and exercises, videos.
Assessment methods
Colloquium, oral discussion on the basis of assigned case reports and related tasks. The task with a case report will be assigned by the teacher in the first lesson of the course.
