Obsah předmětu předpokládá orientaci v základních filozofických pojmech na úrovni středoškolské látky. U posluchačů, kteří zahájili studium v akademickém roce 2004-2005, se předpokládá úspěšné absolvování bakalářské zkoušky.

Course objectives
Fundamental opinions of the F. De Suassure, change of the paradigma in the linguistics of the 20. century. Metaphor and American cognitivism. Metaphor - condition of the thinking and understand. Reading of the texts F. De Saussure, G. Lakoff and M. Johnson.
Syllabus
  • 1. De Saussure and contemporary general linguistics. 2. Language - Langue - System. Sign - arbitrary phenomena. Synchronical and diachronical linguistics, synchronical and diachronical linguistics in connection with the orthography. 3. Langue and parole. Syntagmatical and paradigmatical relations in the text. 4. Metaphor from the cognitive point of view. Metaphor and ontology, methonymie and the ontology, personification and the ontology. Metaphorical coherence. 5. Philosophical consequence of the new interpretation of the metaphor (th true, subjectivism, objectivism).
