Course objectives
The subject concentrates on the forms of training the teaching process of speech skills in a language class. After clearing their relation to language means, attention is paid to partial aspects, typology of exercises and to various means for teaching process activation. The function of a literary text and the way of its presentation. Problems of teaching in voluntary circles and free-time activities.

  • 1. Listening with understanding: types of listening exercises. Training phases. 2. Reading with understanding: concept, subject and goals of reading. Predictability. Training phases. Exercises. Kinds of rearing texts. 3. Literary text in teaching foreign language: kinds of reading. Factor facilitating reading. Text choice. Text interpretation. Motivation exercises. 4. Oral utterance. Training. Problem solving. Typology of utterance. Evaluation and classification. 5. Written utterance: concept, phases, methods of training. Correction of mistakes and evaluation.
