Assessment methods
The class is taught in weekly courses, nevertheless, the basic material has to be learnt at home. At the end of the term, there is a written test covering the material of the summer term. Students who pass the test (a minimum of 60% is required) can register for the oral exam where communicative competence in German is assessed. Topics will be the subjects discussed during the winter and summer term (for example reading experiences of the student, mass media in Austria and Germany, modern German society and the like). The certificate “zkouska” is acquired on the basis of the written and oral exam and a small presentation during the term.
