Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is on the one hand to describe a modern approach of "Landeskunde" , based on recherche and project-orientated methods, and on the other hand by working with authentic materials, to show how to integrate the Landeskunde-topicis into language-teaching for advanced learners. The students should work on topics independently and present them.
Syllabus
  • The seminar will be addressed three themes: 1) cultural-study-Theory: What is "Landeskunde", how understand specific the topic, which materials can be found in textbooks? 2) Art in cultural-studies and language teaching 3) History in cultural-studies and language teaching
