Course objectives
Phonetics and Phonology 2, similar to the first part of this subject, continues to practise the correct pronunciation of German vocals, diphthongs and consonants. Special attention is given to mastering of pronunciation of the German phonemes which do not occur in Czech, as well as to those which differ less. On the suprasegmental level, the stress in German language and the tendency to reduce the unstressed syllables is emphasized. We will work with the textbook "Německy s úsměvem nově" to revise basic German grammar and with other materials to practise spoken fluency.
