The aim of this course is to provide general overview of ophthalmology.

Course objectives
Ophthalmology Organ of vision, anatomical structure of human eye, basic physiology of vision, exposition of basic concepts - accommodation of the eye, visual definition, adaptation, colour sense, field of vision, intraocular pressure, survey of most significant optical disorders, their relation to damage of optical functions, determination of basic concept criteria in relation to eye diseases - dim- and weak-sightedness, practical and total blindness, impact of these and ways of treating them.

  • Anatomical structure of human eye
  • Basic physiology of vision
  • Exposition of basic concepts - accommodation of the eye, visual definition, adaptation, colour sense, field of vision
