Course objectives
The main objectives of the course is to assume the basic information about people with physical disabilities, the possibilitis of their education and their support and stimulation. At the end of the course students should be able to apply acquired knowledges in the process of education of pupils with physical disabilities.

  • 1. Historical development of care of people with physical disabilities
  • 2. Introduction and terminology of the subject education of physical disabled, main pesonalities
  • 3. Classification of physical disabilities
  • 4. Central palsy after injury of brain
  • 5. Central palsy after injury of spinal cord
  • 6. Central palsy after degenerative diseases of brain and spinal cord
  • 7.-10. Cerebral palsy, ethiology, forms, therapy
  • 11. Cerebral palsy as a profound disability and other disabilities
  • 12. Symptomatic speach disorders of children with cerebral palsy
  • 13. Deformation, classification, charakteristics
  • 14. Perthes disease
  • 15. Progressiv muscular dystrophy
  • 16. Degenerative disorders of musculosceletal system
  • 17. Characteristic and support provided for chronically ill pupils (alergy, asthma)
  • 18. Characteristic and support provided for seriously and chronically ill pupils (cardiovascular, diseases of lungs and breathing, tumoral diseases)
