Course objectives
The course focuses on different methods and approaches in English language teaching (ELT). The aim of the course is to enable students to make informed decisions in selecting positive aspects of different methods and approaches and create their own eclectic approach to ELT.

  • 1. Introduction, course requirements, presentations 2. Grammar-Translation Method, Direct Method 3. Audio-Lingual Method. 4. TPR, Suggestopedia 5. Communicative approach, Task-based learning 6. Lexical approach, CLIL 7. Eclectic approach, post-method era, learner-centred approach.
