Course objectives
At the end of the course students should be able to interpret the piano pieces of different periods. At the end of the course students should be able to play stylized accompaniments of 25 songs, create preludes and postludes to songs.
Syllabus
  • Scales. Chords. Interpretation of piano pieces of diverse periods. Cadenza. Accompaniment of 25 folk songs. Creating the prelude, interlude, postlude in songs. Playing vocal exercises: up-scale, chromatic modulations in all keys.

Credit. Homeworks. Duty to attend the classwork. Accompaniment of 25 folk songs with prelude, interlude, postlude. Playing vocal exercises: up-scale, chromatic modulations in all keys. Playing of a composition of his/her own choice and the technical skill of given student.
