Course objectives
The goal is to strengthen the skills and knowledge of phonetics and grammar, reading comprehension skills, listening to the original Russian text, oral and written expression. The main task is to develop and improve vocabulary and practice spelling and grammar to help Russian-up and translation exercises. A successful learner from this course will be able to: listen and understand Russian texts, write texts, read texts and talk on these topics - see Course Contents.

Teaching methods
Theoretical training. Practical language training. Discussion, homeworks, reading, hearing.
Assessment methods
The test consists of two parts - a written test and interview. The written test is focused on memorized grammatical features and vocabulary (translation and optional exercises), after successfully writing (75% of correct answers is needed to pass) the student will be tested orally in a conversation, as adopted during the year, topics, reading books in Russian (minimum 80 -100 pages, the book will carry with you ) and listening (audio, video, DVD - min. 1 movie) and a student present a glossary of new words from reading (60 words). Evaluates the grammatical correctness, content and used vocabulary, pronunciation and intonation structure.
