Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to acquire knowledge and skills in working with paper and small material. At the seminars the students will get acquainted with the current concepts of working with natural and technical materials, working tools and tools and apply this knowledge in the realization of themes from natural materials, paper and cardboard, wire, foil and modeling materials. The student will also learn the principles of safety and hygiene of work and will become acquainted with the techniques of working with elements of folk customs, traditions and crafts within the scope of the educational field Man and the world of work.
Learning outcomes
Students: They will design and describe the tools and tools used to work with natural materials. It determines the species and seasonal collection of natural resources and their thematic use according to the seasons. They implement ideas for practical activities in the area of work with natural resources. They provide ideas for practical activities in the field of folding, cutting, modeling, knitting and decorating of paper. Explain and describe suitable work equipment, tools and tools for working with technical materials. Explain the principles of safety and hygiene in practical teaching. They apply materials to the creation of traditional objects inspired by traditional crafts and folk customs.
Syllabus
  • Syllabus of exercises: Week 1 and 2: Educational area Man and the world of work, principles of occupational safety and hygiene in practical teaching. 3rd and 4th week: Work tools and tools for working with natural materials, overview of current techniques of work with natural resources, seasonal collection and its thematic use according to the seasons. Weeks 5 and 6: Paper production, overview of paper materials, their processing and use, themes for practical activities in folding, cutting, modeling, knitting and decorating of paper. 7th and 8th week: Natural and technical materials in folk traditions and crafts - creation of special items for individual seasons. Weeks 9 and 10: Work tools and tools for working with technical materials, distribution of small technical material, creation of topics from technical materials, safety and hygiene of work. 11th and 12th week: Nontraditional techniques with traditional materials - application of modeling masses in practical lessons, plastic foil molding, wire brain teasers.
