The examination of Word formation in Czech language contents the knowledge of lexikology of Czech language Zkouška z tvoření slov v českém jazyce zahrnuje zahrnuje rovněž disciplinu lexikologie českého jazyka.

Course objectives
Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of this course is to understand the lexical aspects of the Czech language, to explain the meaning of the vocabulary in the vocabulary, to use the lexicon information to analyze the text; to make reasoned decisions on word-making; on the basis of acquired knowledge, also to infer unfamiliar connections; interpret word-formation phenomena.
Learning outcomes
At the end of this course the student will be able to understand the Czech lexical and semantic relations explained in the vocabulary; use the information to analyze the vocabulary of the text; submit a reasoned decision on the formation of words; on the basis of acquired knowledge to derive and unknown context; interpret the phenomena of word formation.

  • 1. Formation of words in verbal communication. 2. Formation of words as linguistic discipline. 3. Basic word-forming terminology. 4. Word-forming system. 5. Forming of basic word forms. 6. Word-forming development tendencies form the position of onomastic methods in contemporary vocabulary. 7. Word forming and school. 1. Tvoření slov ve verbální komunikaci. 2. Nauka o tvoření slov jako jazykovědná disciplina. 3. Základní slovotvorné pojmosloví. 4. Slovotvorný systém. 5. Tvoření základních druhů slov. 6. Slovotvorné vývojové tendence z hlediska onomaziologických postupů v současné slovní zásobě. 7. Slovotvorba a škola.

Teaching methods
Lecture and seminar instruction, individual and group projects, presentations, independent work, housework.
Assessment methods
The course ends with an examination, which also includes material from the course Lexikologie Czech language, exam includes a written test (test consists of 10 to 20 tasks and its fulfillment is required at least fifty percent success rate), oral exam by the outcome of a test.
