Course objectives
Objective of the course in terms of learning outcomes and competences The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the knowledge in the field of diagnostics of speech development and language skills at an early age, impaired speech development and selected types of impaired communication skills.
Learning outcomes
After completing the subject, students will be guided by the definition of a category of children with an identifiable and potentially identifiable risk of developing communication skills and intervention procedures in this group of children. They will be able to clarify the importance and possibilities of interdisciplinary cooperation in the context of logopedic intervention in children with a risk in the development of communication skills.
Syllabus
  • Early logopedic intervention - starting point and definition of early speechopedic intervention; Defining the circle of early intervention speech children; The current situation of early logopedic intervention abroad and the Czech Republic, contemporary aspects of speech ontogeny and language skills; Deficits in speech development and language skills; Diagnostic procedures, interdisciplinary cooperation in speech diagnostics and language skills, possibilities of stimulation of speech development and language skills in children, impaired speech development - definition, category of impaired speech development; Diagnostic and therapeutic approaches; Possibilities of influencing speech development and language skills, inclusion of children and pupils with impaired speech development into the educational process; The specifics of diagnostics and therapy of children in early and preschool age with identifiable risk (children with mental, sensory, physical disabilities); Counseling system in education, SPC for children with speech disorders.
